Is anyone else getting fed up with the amount of times social media platforms change the dimensions for posts, banners, logos etc!?
Why do they have to keep switching it up??
Well, no matter how we feel about it, size really does matter and having a properly designed banner, logo and post size makes a huge impact on the look and feel of your social media.
Social Media really has taken over from websites as our shop window, and our online presence should be an honest and true representation of our brand. So, to help make it a bit easier, here are my Top Three Tips to put your best foot forward and let us all see how bloody marvellous your business is:
Select a few colours that best represent your brand and use them throughout your social media, on your banners and in your posts. It will give uniformity to your image and will make your posts more recognisable to your audience.
Describe your business in a similar way across all social media bios. Keep it really simple and put the benefit, now what you do, up front. Talk in a language that resonates with your target audience. You only have a few words to communicate why they should pick you – choose them wisely!
Use a free online design tool like Canva to create on brand and correctly sized graphics. Canva keeps their sizes updated so all you have to do is select Instagram, Facebook etc. There are a few obscure ones, LinkedIn for example is 1200x627px and Instagram Stories are 1080×1920.
Hopefully that gives you a bit of a steer and some inspo to help your brand shine online!
